📋 Description

• As a Junior Design Engineer at Ashby Inc., you will bridge design and engineering to create impactful user experiences for a product used by over 100,000 weekly active users and notable clients like Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake.
• You will design and implement UI/UX features, contribute to and enhance the in-house design system, collaborate with Product Engineers on bespoke design work, and ship end-to-end solutions from wireframes to production code.
• You’ll join a small, talented engineering team that values minimal process, deep ownership, natural collaboration, and deliberate communication, with a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and leveraging AI-powered tooling to increase individual impact.
• In this role, you’ll grow your dual expertise in visual design and technical implementation, gain ownership over meaningful product features, and learn how design decisions influence data models and system flexibility—all while working regular hours in a supportive, high-trust environment.

🎯 Requirements

• No more than 2 years of industry experience as a designer or engineer
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and CSS
• Demonstrated visual taste and burgeoning talent in both UI/UX and engineering through personal or professional projects with at least a couple of users
