This remote position offers a unique opportunity to become an integral part of our Wood Protection business, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our customers’ timber treatment plants and associated equipment.
- • As a Junior Service Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough maintenance and breakdown repairs on timber treatment plants and associated equipment directly at customer premises. This involves meticulous fault diagnosis, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance for our clients.
- • You will be instrumental in the commissioning and installation of new plants, as well as implementing upgrades to existing systems. This hands-on role requires a blend of technical expertise and practical application to ensure seamless integration and operation of our advanced treatment solutions.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to provide practical operator training to customers. This training will focus on ensuring the safe and responsible use of chemicals and the proper operation of timber treatment plants, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency at customer sites.
- • You will be expected to maintain excellent customer relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor and ensuring that clients are fully supported in their use of Arxada’s products and equipment.
- • This position demands a strong commitment to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards. You will need to possess a good knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and standards, including but not limited to HSAWA, PUWER, LOLER, Pressure systems, and Electrical systems, ensuring compliance in all aspects of your work.
- • As this is a field-based role, considerable travel will be a significant part of your responsibilities. This includes driving or flying to various customer sites across the UK and potentially across Europe, depending on project requirements. While the nominal work week is 37.5 hours, flexibility is essential as the role demands adapting to the needs of customer projects and service calls.
- • You will collaborate closely with other members of the service team to complete the installation of small projects. This includes hands-on involvement in piping and electrical installations, the fabrication of mixing skid units, and the comprehensive commissioning and testing of equipment.
- • You will be responsible for the upkeep and management of your service vehicle, tools, and spare parts inventory, ensuring you are always equipped to meet customer needs efficiently and effectively.
