đź“‹ Description
- • As a Junior Vulnerability Automation Engineer at Flashpoint Intel Inc., you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw threat data into actionable intelligence by building and maintaining automated systems that identify, parse, and enrich vulnerability information from diverse sources such as security advisories, bug trackers, and exploit databases. Your work directly supports Flashpoint’s mission to empower enterprises and government agencies with timely, accurate cyber threat intelligence that reduces risk and enhances operational resilience.
- • Day to day, you will analyze vendor security advisories, research vulnerability reports, mailing lists, product changelogs, news articles, bug trackers, commits, and exploits to identify legitimate vulnerabilities; navigate messy HTML and evolving site structures to extract relevant data; develop maintainable and scalable Python-based code to acquire, parse, and transform scraped data into structured vulnerability entries; design and implement robust automation pipelines using orchestration frameworks like Apache Airflow or NIFI to ensure efficient data workflows; collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to clarify technical content and align automation efforts with customer needs; contribute to continuous process improvement by refining software development lifecycle practices and proposing innovative solutions to complex data challenges; and apply strong ethical judgment and customer-focused thinking to ensure data integrity and usability.
- • You will join a global, mission-driven team at Flashpoint, a pioneering leader in threat data and intelligence, where your contributions directly impact how organizations defend against cyber threats, geopolitical risks, fraud, and physical security challenges. The company fosters a culture of inclusion, curiosity, and technical excellence, encouraging engineers to grow their expertise in vulnerability intelligence while working on high-impact, scalable systems that serve both commercial and government clients.
- • In this role, you will achieve deep expertise in vulnerability intelligence lifecycle and large-scale data processing, gaining hands-on experience with modern data engineering practices including ETL pipelines, API integrations, relational databases (PostgreSQL), and distributed systems. By 90 days, you will be capable of independently contributing to complex scraping projects, determining when sources require escalation to advanced automation, responding to team help requests, and implementing new data features — positioning you as a growing expert in automated vulnerability data collection and processing at scale.
