📋 Description

• As an iOS Engineer at Sportygroup B.V., you will take ownership of existing iOS applications, implement new features, build UI pages, test applications, and support releases into new regions to align with the company’s growth plans while collaborating with a globally distributed team.
• You will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to design and deliver high-quality iOS products, build end-to-end features including networking, persistence, business logic, and UI, prepare architectural documentation, analyze system issues, recommend solutions, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior team members.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern iOS development using SwiftUI, MVC/MVVM architectures, and advanced mobile technologies, while gaining experience in CI/CD pipelines, performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration in a scalable, growth-oriented environment.
• You will work with a tech stack that includes SwiftUI, MVC and MVVM architectures, programmatic UI and Xib layouts, XCTest for testing, Swift Package Manager for dependency management, and CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins to ensure reliable and efficient app delivery.
• Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining native iOS applications that integrate REST APIs, push notifications, and multithreaded experiences, with a strong focus on software engineering fundamentals, memory management, networking, caching, performance optimization, localization, and security.
• You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the app by analyzing existing systems, preparing recommendations for improvement, and designing new solutions that enhance user experience and system reliability across the organization.
• Through regular code reviews and mentorship, you will help uphold code quality standards, ensure alignment with user stories and architectural patterns, and support the professional growth of less experienced team members.
• The role emphasizes a creative, problem-solving mindset, encouraging simplified and effective solutions to complex technical challenges while maintaining clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You will be expected to document your work thoroughly, including architectural diagrams and navigation maps, to support knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability of the iOS codebase.
• The position requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues in systems and procedures, ensuring the app remains robust, scalable, and aligned with the company’s expansion into new markets.
• You will play a key role in enabling Sportygroup’s growth by ensuring the iOS application is ready for localization, performance-optimized, and resilient across diverse network conditions and device configurations.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience developing consumer-facing iOS applications using SwiftUI
• Experience developing, delivering, and supporting native iOS applications by integrating REST APIs, push notifications, and multithreaded experiences
• Solid foundation in software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and iOS design patterns
• Deep understanding of multi-threading, memory management, networking, caching, performance optimization, localization, and security for mobile applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
• Must be based in Latin America and proficient in English, as Sportygroup operates in an English-speaking remote work environment
