📋 Description

• Architect and own the foundational AI data platform and MLOps pipelines that will power ActiveCampaign’s next-generation agentic AI systems, ensuring enterprise-grade scalability, reliability, and performance for millions of small-business users.
• Design and deliver end-to-end production-ready agentic systems—from proof-of-concept through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement—translating cutting-edge academic research into practical, revenue-generating features.
• Drive innovation in large-language-model capabilities by implementing advanced RAG architectures, fine-tuning strategies, reinforcement-learning-from-human-feedback (RLHF), and rigorous evaluation frameworks that guarantee model quality and safety.
• Lead technical strategy and roadmap discussions with product, engineering, and executive leadership, translating complex AI insights into clear business strategies that influence company direction and unlock new market opportunities.
• Build and mentor a high-impact, cross-functional team of data scientists and ML engineers in our brand-new Krakow hub, fostering a culture of technical excellence, experimentation, and inclusive collaboration.
• Establish best-in-class data governance, privacy, and security standards across all AI initiatives, ensuring compliance with global regulations and earning the trust of our SMB customers.
• Continuously research and prototype emerging AI technologies—such as multi-agent orchestration, autonomous workflow generation, and real-time personalization—to keep ActiveCampaign at the forefront of marketing automation.
• Partner with customer-facing teams to gather feedback, run A/B tests, and iterate rapidly, turning real-world usage data into measurable improvements in campaign performance and user satisfaction.
• Champion democratization of AI by creating intuitive abstractions and self-service tooling that allow non-technical marketers to leverage sophisticated models without needing deep ML expertise.
• Contribute to the vibrant Krakow office culture from day one—organizing tech talks, hackathons, and knowledge-sharing sessions that attract top talent and position ActiveCampaign as the employer of choice in Poland’s AI community.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years building and deploying scalable ML or NLP solutions in production, with demonstrated impact on user growth or revenue.
• Expert-level Python proficiency (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face) and hands-on experience with distributed training and inference.
• Proven track record designing RAG systems, fine-tuning LLMs, and implementing RLHF or drift-detection pipelines at scale.
• Advanced SQL, data-warehousing, and ETL expertise; experience with Spark or Dask and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business strategies that influence senior stakeholders.
