This is a pivotal role where you will be instrumental in architecting and implementing firmware from the ground up for a new Linux-based device. This device is designed with a dual purpose: it will function as a sophisticated Control Unit for pedestrian infrastructure at intersections, ensuring seamless and safe traffic flow, and simultaneously act as an IoT Gateway. In its gateway capacity, it will be responsible for collecting vital data from various other devices within the intersection, managing their configurations, and orchestrating their updates, thereby creating a connected and intelligent urban environment.
• • As a Lead Engineer, you will spearhead the technical direction and execution of the firmware development lifecycle. This involves translating complex requirements into robust, efficient, and scalable C++ code. You will be responsible for designing the software architecture, ensuring it meets the stringent demands of real-time operation, reliability, and security inherent in transportation systems. Your expertise will guide the team in making critical technology choices and implementing best practices in software development.
• • The project involves working with a new Linux-based device, requiring a deep understanding of embedded systems and operating system interactions.
