📋 Description

• As a Lead DevOps Engineer at Ontic Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of a mission-critical security platform that protects people and organizations by enabling faster threat detection, risk assessment, and incident response for Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies.
• Your expertise will directly contribute to the reliability, security, and scalability of Ontic’s Connected Intelligence Platform, ensuring it meets the stringent demands of enterprise and government clients operating in high-stakes environments.
• Day to day, you will lead the design and governance of scalable, resilient, multi-cloud Kubernetes platforms across AWS, GCP, OCI, and Azure, establishing standardized blueprints for both multi-tenant and dedicated enterprise deployments.
• You will architect high-availability, multi-AZ, and disaster recovery strategies aligned with RTO/RPO objectives, ensuring platform resilience under failure conditions and supporting business continuity for critical security operations.
• You will establish secure-by-design cloud architecture and workload identity models, enforcing RBAC, IAM governance, encryption standards (at-rest and in-transit), and least-privilege principles to support zero-trust access models across the platform.
• You will integrate security scanning, policy enforcement, and compliance validation into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring infrastructure continuously meets SOC2, ISO 27001, and other enterprise security controls through automated validation.
• You will implement AIOps capabilities for intelligent alerting, anomaly detection, and automated remediation, enhancing observability maturity using metrics, logs, and distributed tracing to reduce MTTR and operational toil.
• You will support AI/ML workload infrastructure by enabling scalable compute resources and secure model deployment, facilitating MLOps integration for intelligent threat intelligence and risk scoring features.
• You will drive infrastructure standardization using Terraform (with reusable module design), Helm, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD), designing safe deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary releases to improve reliability and reduce risk.
• You will improve infrastructure drift detection and environment reproducibility through automated validation and policy-as-code practices, ensuring consistency across development, staging, and production environments.
• You will define SLO/SLI frameworks and reliability benchmarks, optimizing autoscaling (HPA/VPA/Cluster Autoscaler) and workload efficiency to improve performance and scalability of distributed stateful systems like MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Redis, and ArangoDB.
• You will implement cloud cost observability and allocation strategies, optimizing compute, storage, and networking costs across multi-cloud environments while establishing cost governance models aligned with business growth and financial accountability.
• You will mentor senior engineers, promote a strong DevOps culture, drive architecture reviews and production readiness assessments, and partner with security and engineering teams to align platform strategy with enterprise objectives and compliance requirements.
• You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the platform supports evolving AI-driven operations, including intelligent alerting and anomaly detection systems, positioning Ontic at the forefront of intelligent security operations.

🎯 Requirements

• 10-12 years of experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering in enterprise or high-scale SaaS environments
• Proven experience architecting and operating multi-cloud production environments (AWS, GCP, OCI, Azure)
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes-based platform design and large-scale cluster operations
• Advanced Terraform experience with reusable module design and environment standardization
• Strong experience implementing GitOps workflows (ArgoCD) and CI/CD automation (Jenkins)
• Hands-on production experience with distributed systems: MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Redis, ArangoDB
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, encryption (at-rest & in-transit), and zero-trust access models
• Experience implementing enterprise observability stacks
• Experience with AI-driven operations (AIOps), intelligent alerting, anomaly detection, or automated remediation systems
• Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure requirements (GPU workloads, model deployment, MLOps integration)
• Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms and isolated client-dedicated environments
• Experience supporting enterprise compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.)
• Exposure to service mesh and secure east-west traffic management
