📋 Description

• As the Lead iOS and macOS Engineer at Rox Data Corp, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of AI-native applications on Apple platforms. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and deep operating system integrations, creating intelligent experiences that redefine how revenue teams operate. You will be at the forefront of building the world's first revenue operating system, directly impacting how global enterprises leverage autonomous revenue agents to enhance productivity and drive growth.
• Your primary responsibility will be to define and evolve the end-to-end architecture, user experience systems, quality gates, and release cadence for our iOS and macOS applications. This involves not only developing robust and scalable software but also crafting intuitive and fluid interactions that leverage the full power of Apple's ecosystem.
• You will be responsible for building real-time experiences, incorporating technologies such as server-sent events (SSE) and WebSockets for seamless, streaming conversations. This includes implementing incremental rendering for dynamic content updates and ensuring resilient handoff between background and foreground application states, providing users with uninterrupted workflows.
• A key aspect of this role involves deep integration with the operating systems. You will leverage native macOS features like NSStatusItem menu bar surfaces, notifications, background tasks, and multi-window experiences. Furthermore, you will ensure secure data handling practices are implemented across all platform features.
• You will lead the development of audio intelligence capabilities on macOS. This includes designing and implementing CoreAudio and AVFoundation pipelines, managing device tap aggregation, and optimizing for low-latency transcription user experiences, crucial for real-time agent interactions.
• Performance is paramount. You will be tasked with setting aggressive performance budgets and ensuring they are met. This involves meticulous profiling for cold starts, layout jank, memory, CPU, and GPU usage, and optimizing rendering pipelines to deliver exceptionally smooth and responsive applications.
• Enhancing reliability is a core objective. You will implement robust monitoring solutions using tools like Sentry for crash and performance tracking. This includes establishing comprehensive observability, defining guardrails for application behavior, and developing incident response playbooks to ensure high availability and stability.
• You will collaborate closely with the AI backend team to integrate advanced agent capabilities. This involves developing typed OpenAPI clients and implementing streaming protocols that unlock new functionalities for our autonomous revenue agents, allowing them to interact more intelligently and efficiently with users.
• As a lead engineer, you will play a vital role in leveling up the entire Apple platforms team. This includes establishing and upholding high engineering standards, promoting code review excellence, providing mentorship to junior engineers, and actively participating in the recruitment of top talent for our growing team.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience building native applications for iOS and macOS, with a strong emphasis on modern frameworks like SwiftUI.
• Demonstrated cross-platform engineering experience, with a track record of direct engagement with customers to understand and address their needs.
• Deep curiosity and passion for AI products, evidenced through personal research, projects, or contributions.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
