• • Shape the future of personalised nutrition as the Lead Product Data Scientist at ZOE, the company turning cutting-edge science into daily health breakthroughs for millions. You will sit at the intersection of product, data, and health impact, owning the analytical vision that determines which features ship, which experiments run, and how we turn raw behavioural data into measurable wellbeing outcomes.
• • Own and evolve the full product analytics stack—from event instrumentation in dbt to executive-level KPI narratives—ensuring every product squad has the data clarity to move fast and the statistical rigour to move smart. You will define what “good” looks like for instrumentation, experimentation, and modelling, then roll up your sleeves to build the first versions yourself.
• • Lead experimentation at scale: design, power, and analyse A/B and multivariate tests that touch hundreds of thousands of members, introducing Bayesian or sequential methods where they accelerate learning without sacrificing confidence. You will embed with Product Managers to translate ambiguous questions (“How do we increase week-4 retention?”) into testable hypotheses, run the analysis, and package insights so compelling that roadmap priorities pivot on your recommendations.
• • Drive strategic product decisions with predictive and causal models. Go beyond surface metrics by building uplift, survival, and LTV models that reveal which behaviours actually cause long-term health engagement. Translate model outputs into concrete, low-complexity product interventions—like personalised onboarding flows or lifecycle nudges—that demonstrably reduce churn and increase healthy habit formation.
• • Mentor and level-up a multidisciplinary team of analysts, data scientists, and analytics engineers. Through pair-coding, design reviews, and weekly “stats clinics,” you will raise the analytical bar across ZOE while fostering a culture of curiosity, intellectual humility, and rapid iteration. Your code and documentation become the gold standard others emulate.
• • Champion a product-first mindset in every analysis. Ask “so what?” relentlessly, ensuring that complexity is justified only when it sharpens a decision. When evidence is 70 % solid, you will confidently recommend action, then instrument follow-up tests to close the remaining 30 % uncertainty—perfect alignment with ZOE’s ActFast value.
• • Collaborate cross-functionally with Nutrition Scientists to validate that product changes improve real-world health markers; with Engineers to ensure data pipelines are privacy-first and real-time; and with Designers to turn model-driven user segments into intuitive, ethical experiences. Your influence will be measured not by head-count but by healthier members and faster product velocity.
• • Stay hands-on with the data foundation—writing dbt models, debugging event schemas, and optimising query performance—because credibility starts with craftsmanship. You will also evangelise self-serve tooling so that non-technical teammates can safely explore data without bottlenecks.
• • Present findings to the executive team in crisp, story-driven formats that make statistical nuance accessible to non-experts. Your dashboards and memos will become the single source of truth for board-level discussions on growth, retention, and member impact.
