• • As a Lead Product Designer at Tide Platform Limited, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of financial services for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). You will own the design vision for a critical business area within the Tide platform, ensuring a cohesive, intuitive, and frictionless customer experience that seamlessly integrates with our broader ecosystem. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the creation of world-class commerce experiences, tackling the most significant challenges faced by micro, small, and medium enterprises.
• • You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, UX Writers, and User Researchers. Your role will involve translating complex business problems into elegant, user-centered design solutions that drive business value and enhance member satisfaction. This collaborative approach ensures that design is deeply integrated into the product development lifecycle.
• • The Lead Product Designer will drive the entire end-to-end design process. This encompasses initial discovery phases, detailed journey mapping, user research, and the meticulous execution of high-fidelity designs. You will be responsible for ensuring that every touchpoint of the user experience is considered and optimized.
• • Cultivating a deep understanding of our members is paramount. You will achieve this by leading research sessions, analyzing usage data, and clearly articulating the "what, why, and how" behind the problems Tide aims to solve. This user-centric approach ensures that our products are not only functional but also deeply relevant and valuable to our target audience.
• • You will act as a champion for a user-centric culture throughout the organization. This involves advocating for member needs within Product and Engineering teams and clearly demonstrating the strategic value of adopting a Design Thinking methodology. Your influence will help embed user empathy into every decision.
• • A key responsibility will be to evolve and maintain the Tide Design System. You will work within our established principles and contribute to our shared component libraries, ensuring brand consistency and design efficiency across the platform. This role requires a proactive approach to design system management and enhancement.
• • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Product Design, ideally within a SaaS, Fintech, or high-growth scale-up environment. This experience should demonstrate a proven track record of leading design workstreams and mentoring or managing junior designers, showcasing strong leadership capabilities.
• • You should have extensive experience designing for complex user flows, business tools, or financial services, understanding the nuances and challenges associated with these domains. A deep understanding of User Experience and Product Design methodologies is essential, including practical experience in facilitating workshops and design sprints to drive innovation and alignment.
• • Expert-level proficiency in Figma and advanced prototyping tools is a requirement, enabling you to create detailed and interactive designs. You must be comfortable working in an agile environment, adept at navigating the inherent ambiguity of a rapidly scaling business and adapting to evolving priorities.
• • A data-driven approach to design is crucial. You should have experience utilizing tools such as Looker, Heap, GA, or Hotjar to inform and validate design decisions, ensuring that solutions are grounded in user behavior and business impact. A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is expected.
