- • Lead Product Designer at Dave Inc. to drive end-to-end design for new products and foundational features, turning ambiguous problems into clear, shippable experiences that serve millions of financially vulnerable Americans through the ExtraCash product and upcoming innovations like Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL).
- • Own the full design lifecycle from early exploration and concepting through launch and iteration, including discovery work to frame opportunities, test assumptions, and shape product direction in partnership with Product, Engineering, Research, and Growth teams.
- • Define design direction for new initiatives with potential to become major product lines, ensuring experiences balance speed, clarity, and trust during critical financial decision moments for members.
- • Contribute to product strategy by collaborating on goals, success metrics, roadmaps, and sprint commitments, while crafting clear design narratives that align cross-functional teams and enable confident decision-making.
- • Mentor and guide other designers to raise the bar for early-stage thinking and execution, fostering craft excellence and influencing team-wide design quality without direct reports.
- • Help define Dave’s future product portfolio by determining which ideas reach market, shaping first-time member experiences, and building trust that drives long-term adoption and supports the company’s next phase of growth.
- • Thrive in a fast-moving, learning-oriented environment where autonomy, 0 → 1 work, and real-world iteration are valued, with the opportunity to build products that materially improve financial lives.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of product design experience in fintech or other scaled consumer product environments
- • Strong experience taking products or major features from idea to launch
- • Portfolio demonstrating 0 → 1 thinking, strong craft, and ability to evolve ideas over time
- • Deep expertise in mobile app design
- • Strong visual design sensibility paired with practical UX judgment
- • Fluency in Figma and modern design workflows
- • Clear, confident communication with Product, Engineering, Research, and cross-functional partners
