- • Lead Product Designer, Growth at GetYourGuide AG is a pivotal role responsible for shaping how millions of travelers discover and book unforgettable experiences worldwide. As a senior design leader, you will drive strategic initiatives that directly impact customer acquisition, engagement, and retention across global markets, ensuring the platform remains the world’s leading experiences marketplace through innovative, user-centered design.
- • You will lead large, complex, cross-functional initiatives from discovery to delivery, partnering with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Content Design, Merchandising, and Operations to solve core growth challenges. Your work will span the full design lifecycle — conducting generative user research, synthesizing insights into actionable opportunities, creating pixel-perfect mockups and prototypes, facilitating usability testing, and guiding implementation — all while aligning user needs with business goals and technical feasibility.
- • The Growth team at GetYourGuide is a high-impact, data-informed unit focused on expanding owned and paid audiences through SEO, social, paid campaigns, partner integrations, and emerging channels. You’ll operate in a fast-paced, experimental environment where design decisions are validated through metrics and user feedback, contributing directly to new customer acquisition and repeat usage across web and mobile platforms.
- • In this role, you will evolve into a design leader who not only crafts exceptional experiences but also influences organizational design maturity. You’ll mentor junior designers, advocate for design excellence, and help establish scalable design systems and processes. You’ll also cultivate an AI-native mindset — exploring how generative AI and machine learning can enhance both internal workflows and customer-facing solutions — positioning you at the forefront of next-generation product design in the travel industry.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in cross-platform product design with a proven track record of designing and shipping consumer experiences that have scaled to thousands of users and delivered measurable business outcomes.
- • 3+ years of experience leading other designers in the execution of initiatives across multiple product areas, demonstrating ability to guide teams through ambiguity and drive cohesive, high-quality outcomes.
- • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences — including engineers, product managers, executives, and stakeholders — in both written and verbal formats.
- • Strong conceptual thinking that balances user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility, coupled with experience collaborating with machine learning and data science teams to inform design decisions from a user-centered perspective.
- • Outstanding portfolio showcasing mastery in visual design craft, interaction design logic, and the ability to articulate the rationale behind design decisions with clarity and depth.
