  • • As a Lead Product Designer for the KYX & Access Management Speedboat team at Tide, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) verify their identity and initiate their business journey with Tide. This pivotal role involves owning the design vision for a critical business area, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and cohesive customer experience that integrates flawlessly with Tide's broader ecosystem.
  • • You will be at the forefront of rethinking and redesigning our Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) processes, tackling the most complex identity verification challenges faced by micro, small, and medium enterprises globally. Your primary focus will be on significantly reducing friction points and crafting world-class verification experiences that not only onboard new members efficiently but also ensure ongoing compliance and trust.
  • • This is an opportunity to join a high-growth scale-up environment and make a substantial impact by building a scalable, value-driven verification experience that caters to the diverse needs of our global markets. You will be a key contributor to Tide's mission of helping SMEs save time and money, allowing them to focus on what they do best.
  • • Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Writers, and User Researchers, transforming intricate business problems into elegant and effective design solutions. Your ability to translate complex requirements into user-friendly interfaces will be crucial.
  • • You will drive the entire end-to-end design process, from the initial stages of discovery and journey mapping, through in-depth user research, to the meticulous execution of high-fidelity designs. This comprehensive ownership ensures that user needs are central to every design decision.
  • • Cultivating a deep understanding of our members is paramount. You will lead research sessions, analyze usage data, and articulate the "what, why, and how" behind the problems Tide aims to solve. This user-centric approach will inform your design strategy and ensure that solutions are both relevant and impactful.
  • • You will act as a champion for a user-centric culture within the Product and Engineering teams. By advocating for member needs and demonstrating the strategic value of a Design Thinking methodology, you will influence product development and foster a shared understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve evolving and maintaining the Tide Design System. You will work within its established principles and contribute to its growth, ensuring brand consistency and efficiency across all Tide products and platforms.
  • • The impact of this role is substantial, contributing directly to Tide's continued success and the evolution of our financial platform for SMEs. You will be a key player in shaping the user experience for a core business function, directly influencing member acquisition and retention.
  • • You will be responsible for leading design workstreams, guiding the design direction, and ensuring the quality and consistency of design outputs. This leadership aspect extends to mentoring and potentially managing junior designers, fostering their growth and development within the team.
  • • Designing for complexity is a core requirement, particularly in areas like user flows, business tools, and financial services. Your experience in navigating these intricate domains will be vital.
  • • You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of User Experience and Product Design methodologies, including experience in facilitating workshops and design sprints, to drive innovation and efficient problem-solving.
  • • Your technical proficiency in design tools, especially Figma, and advanced prototyping capabilities will be essential for bringing your design visions to life and effectively communicating them to stakeholders.
  • • Working in an agile environment and embracing the inherent ambiguity of a rapidly scaling business is expected. Your adaptability and ability to navigate change will be key to success.
  • • A data-informed approach to design is critical. You will utilize tools such as Looker, Heap, GA, or Hotjar to gather insights, validate design decisions, and measure their impact, ensuring that design is grounded in evidence.
  • • You will contribute to the strategic direction of product design at Tide, ensuring that design is a proactive and integral part of the product development lifecycle, driving business objectives through exceptional user experiences.
