• • We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Software Engineer to spearhead technical excellence in architecture, development, and team leadership. This pivotal role demands a blend of strategic architectural vision, hands-on software development expertise, and effective technical team guidance. As a Lead Engineer, you will be instrumental in defining and evolving our system architectures, championing engineering best practices, and remaining deeply engaged in the design and construction of scalable, high-performance distributed systems. • • Own and lead the design and evolution of scalable, resilient, and maintainable system architectures that align with Kaseya's long-term strategic objectives.
• • Define and enforce architectural standards, establish robust engineering best practices, and guide the technology direction for our software products.
• • Ensure seamless alignment between our system architecture and overarching business goals, anticipating future needs and technological advancements.
• • Lead and facilitate architectural reviews, championing high-impact technical decisions that enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• • Hands-On Development:
• • Actively contribute to the core codebase, leveraging your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices development.
• • Design, implement, and optimize high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems that form the backbone of our platform.
• • Set a high standard through clean code practices, rigorous code reviews, and unwavering engineering discipline, inspiring the team to do the same.
• • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and scalability challenges, ensuring the continuous availability and performance of our services.
• • Cloud & Platform Engineering:
• • Architect, build, and deploy cloud-native solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS), utilizing services such as ECS, EC2, SQS, DynamoDB, and RDS.
• • Design and implement scalable database solutions, with a strong focus on performance optimization for relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• • Provide technical guidance and leadership on containerization and orchestration strategies, leveraging technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to enhance deployment efficiency and scalability.
• • Technical & Team Leadership:
• • Provide strong technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the team, fostering their professional growth and technical development.
• • Support the career advancement of team members and consistently elevate the overall engineering standards and capabilities within the organization.
• • Lead technical planning sessions, drive accurate estimation processes, and ensure effective execution of development projects.
• • Cultivate a team culture characterized by accountability, seamless collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
• • Act as a key technical partner with Product Management and other stakeholders, collaboratively shaping innovative and effective technical solutions.
• • Operational Excellence:
• • Ensure the reliability, observability, and optimal performance of our systems through the implementation and maintenance of robust monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
• • Champion and promote DevOps practices throughout the development lifecycle, maintaining and enhancing our CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• • Drive a culture of engineering quality, focusing on scalability, performance, and operational readiness for all deployed solutions.
