• • We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. This pivotal role is designed for an individual who is passionate about crafting robust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions. You will play a crucial role in not only the design and development of these solutions but also in ensuring their seamless maintenance and evolution. A key aspect of this position involves fostering smooth collaboration and effective overlap with our US-based engineering teams, bridging geographical and temporal divides to ensure project success.

• • This role offers a compelling blend of hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and mentorship. You will be instrumental in:
• • **Software Solution Lifecycle Management:** Taking ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from initial analysis and conceptualization through to detailed design, development, rigorous testing, and successful delivery of software solutions. This includes ensuring that solutions are not only functional but also align with long-term business objectives and technical strategy.
• • **Technical Articulation and Design:** Possessing the ability to articulate complex implementation details at all levels, from high-level architectural concepts to granular code-level specifics. You will be responsible for designing highly complex applications, intricate interfaces, and integrations, often involving a modest number of critical systems, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and maintainable.
• • **Codebase Quality and Standards:** Ensuring the highest quality of one or more application codebases. This involves establishing and enforcing adherence to development standards, best practices, and coding conventions to maintain code integrity, readability, and long-term sustainability.
• • **Mentorship and Development:** Applying your technical capabilities to actively coach and develop junior engineers. You will guide them through technical challenges, share your expertise, and foster their growth, contributing to a stronger, more capable engineering team.
• • **Performance Engineering and Architecture:** Taking responsibility for the performance engineering of the enterprise software architecture. This includes identifying performance bottlenecks, implementing optimizations, and providing functional guidance, advice, and/or training to other application developers to enhance overall system efficiency and scalability.
• • **Advanced Development and Support:** Engaging in advanced code development, conducting thorough code reviews, and performing day-to-day support duties. This ensures the stability and reliability of our existing systems while also contributing to the development of new features and functionalities.
• • **Tooling and Technology Evaluation:** Actively researching and evaluating new tools, technologies, and methodologies to support domain-specific needs and enhance our development and operational capabilities. This includes staying abreast of industry trends and recommending innovative solutions.
• • **Cross-Team Collaboration and Communication:** Ensuring consistent overlap and effective communication with US-based teams and clients. This requires a proactive approach to collaboration, clear articulation of progress and challenges, and a commitment to working across different time zones. You will need to be available for approximately 2 hours of evening work, typically until around 11:30 PM IST, based on project needs, to facilitate seamless interaction and project alignment.
• • **Agile Methodologies:** Working within and contributing to agile development methodologies, ensuring efficient project execution, iterative development, and responsiveness to changing requirements.
• • **DevOps and CI/CD:** Automating CI/CD workflows for onboarded projects, contributing to a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery, and improving deployment efficiency and reliability.
• • **API Design and Integration:** Utilizing knowledge of API specifications like GraphQL and OpenAPI to design, develop, and integrate robust and efficient APIs that enable seamless communication between different systems and services.
