đź“‹ Description

  • • Deel is at the forefront of revolutionizing the global work landscape, and we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team in Italy. As a rapidly growing SaaS company, Deel is dedicated to unlocking global opportunity for every person, team, and business by providing an all-in-one payroll, HR, and compliance platform. Our vision is to break down borders and create a more diverse, inclusive, and accessible global economy. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a company that is not just building software, but actively shaping the future of work.
  • • In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in navigating the complex legal terrain of international employment and business operations, with a specific focus on Italian legal matters. You will be responsible for drafting and meticulously reviewing a wide array of legal documents, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and crucially, employment contracts, ensuring compliance with all relevant Italian and international laws and regulations. Your expertise will be vital in providing clear, concise, and actionable legal advice to both our internal teams and our valued customers, fostering a culture of legal understanding and proactive risk management.
  • • You will collaborate closely with various business departments, including HR, Sales, and Operations, to develop and implement business-oriented legal solutions that support Deel's strategic objectives. This involves translating complex legal requirements into practical, effective strategies that enable seamless global operations. A significant aspect of your role will be to partner with our global legal team to develop and refine essential legal resources. This includes creating and updating contract templates, comprehensive legal guides, internal playbooks, and standardized processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across all our international operations.
  • • As the primary point of contact for all Italy-related legal matters, you will be the go-to expert for any legal issues or projects that arise within the Italian jurisdiction. This requires a deep understanding of Italian labor law, corporate law, and general commercial law. You will proactively identify potential legal risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring Deel's operations in Italy are robust and compliant. Your involvement in Italy-related projects will be crucial, requiring you to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, often under tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • • Deel's commitment to innovation and growth is reflected in our rapid expansion and industry recognition, including accolades from CNBC, Forbes, and Deloitte. We are a globally distributed company with a vibrant, multicultural team that thrives on continuous learning and collaboration. Joining Deel means becoming part of a company that is not only a leader in the SaaS space but also a pioneer in the future of work, empowering millions of individuals and businesses worldwide. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to scale smarter, faster, and more compliantly, solidifying our position as the go-to platform for global talent management.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of global employment trends, tackling challenging legal issues that have a tangible impact on people's working lives. You will be empowered to take ownership of your work, operate with a high degree of autonomy, and contribute to a company culture that values resilience, adaptability, and a passion for continuous professional development. The fast-paced nature of our business demands a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, and we are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and make a significant difference.
  • • Your ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, international team will be key to your success. We foster an environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and where every team member is encouraged to bring their unique insights to the table. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Italian, enabling them to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of stakeholders. This role is more than just a legal position; it's a chance to be an integral part of a company that is fundamentally changing how the world works, offering unparalleled career acceleration and the opportunity to shape the future of global employment.
  • • We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. We believe that our strength lies in our differences, and we actively encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds. As part of our commitment to equal opportunity, we provide accommodations throughout the recruitment process for candidates with disabilities. Your journey with Deel will be one of continuous learning, professional growth, and significant impact, all within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
