đź“‹ Description
- • IP House Inc. is a global leader in intellectual property management and protection, leveraging cutting-edge technology and extensive cross-border expertise to provide end-to-end solutions for brands, legal professionals, and rights holders. With a team of over 700 experts across five continents, we are dedicated to combating counterfeiting, piracy, and IP infringement at scale, safeguarding valuable assets across digital and physical marketplaces. We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Legal Privacy Analyst to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in managing and responding to user privacy and data protection inquiries.
- • As the Legal Privacy Analyst, you will be the primary point of contact for all incoming privacy-related requests submitted through various client mailboxes. This critical role demands a sharp ability to quickly triage and categorize user inquiries, apply standardized responses using our client's macro system, and provide clear, actionable self-service guidance. You will be instrumental in ensuring timely and accurate handling of data subject requests, maintaining compliance with privacy regulations, and contributing to a positive user experience.
- • Your core responsibilities will include the efficient triage and response to a wide range of privacy requests. This encompasses data access requests, where users seek to understand what personal data is held about them; opt-out requests, allowing users to cease receiving communications or data processing; email unsubscribe requests, ensuring compliance with marketing and communication preferences; and addressing general questions regarding our clients' privacy policies and data protection practices. Your ability to accurately interpret these requests and apply the correct protocols will be paramount.
- • A significant part of your role will involve guiding users through self-service solutions. This means empowering individuals to manage their own data and account settings effectively. You will provide clear instructions and support for processes such as account deletion, enabling users to exercise their right to be forgotten; data downloads, allowing users to obtain a copy of their personal information; email changes, assisting with secure updates to contact details; troubleshooting Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) issues, ensuring account security; and navigating privacy settings adjustments, helping users control their data preferences.
- • You will also be responsible for processing account deletion confirmations. This is a sensitive but essential task that involves verifying user intent and ensuring the integrity of the deletion process. You will confirm the user's identity and intent before routing tickets to the daily bulk account deletion queue for processing by the relevant technical teams. This requires a high degree of accuracy and adherence to security protocols.
- • Identifying and flagging requests from regulatory bodies is another key aspect of your role. These require immediate escalation to the Data Protection Officer (DPO) team to ensure prompt and compliant handling. You will develop a keen eye for recognizing such communications and understand the urgency associated with them.
- • Furthermore, you will be adept at redirecting specialized requests to the appropriate internal teams. This includes directing inquiries to Customer Experience for general support, Trust & Safety for issues related to platform integrity and user conduct, Copyright for intellectual property concerns, and the Legal department for complex legal matters. Your ability to accurately assess the nature of a request and route it to the correct specialist will streamline operations and ensure efficient resolution.
- • You will also apply appropriate closure protocols for requests that are identified as spam, have been successfully resolved through self-service or initial response, or do not require further action. This involves documenting the resolution and ensuring the ticket is closed appropriately within the system.
- • Maintaining the highest standards of security, confidentiality, and discretion is non-negotiable in this role. You will be handling sensitive user data and internal information, and adherence to strict confidentiality policies is essential. Your professionalism and trustworthiness will be key assets.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of data privacy within a leading intellectual property protection firm. You will gain invaluable experience in handling real-world privacy requests, understanding global data protection regulations, and contributing to the protection of major brands. You will be part of a supportive and innovative environment that values continuous learning and professional development. Join us in safeguarding the digital landscape and empowering users with control over their data.
