  • • The Licensing Administrator, Copyright role at Warner Music Group is essential for securing the legal rights needed to release and distribute music recordings, ensuring artists and songwriters are properly compensated and the company operates within copyright law.
  • • Day to day, you will review, negotiate, and secure mechanical and synchronization licenses; research songwriters, publishers, and rights societies; confirm publishing splits and credits; compile and enter data into internal systems; analyze royalty provisions; liaise with internal teams and external partners; and respond to inquiries from music publishers.
  • • You will join the Copyright Department, which supports Warner Music Group’s U.S. and international record labels by managing publishing licensing and administrative services, working closely with A&R, Business & Legal Affairs, Finance, Production, and Marketing teams across labels like Atlantic Records, Warner Records, Parlophone, and more.
  • • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in music licensing, copyright administration, and royalty systems while building strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills in a dynamic, global entertainment environment.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting deadlines under pressure
  • • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with emphasis on accurate data entry
  • • Bachelor’s degree required
  • • 0 to 2 years’ experience in administration of mechanical or other publishing royalties (nice-to-have)
