- • Analyze business area needs and design efficient, dependable, and maintainable application systems aligned with organizational standards across multiple technology platforms.
- • Interpret, refine, and document acceptance criteria to generate value-added documentation for complex system implementations.
- • Test and debug production and development programs, particularly complex modules, to identify and resolve issues that could impact public relations, productivity, or resource allocation.
- • Design and code program logic for complex or multi-system applications, ensuring consistency with specifications, existing systems, and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- • Resolve production system outages by determining root causes, implementing corrective logic, and applying documentation and procedural changes per established implementation plans.
- • Enhance production system availability and performance by serving as an internal technical consultant on coding, testing, debugging, and installation of application logic.
- • Lead business continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and eliminating nonessential tasks, improving quality, and optimizing workflows through technology tools.
- • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced programmers and analysts to improve team productivity and technical proficiency.
- • Demonstrate peer leadership by stepping beyond standard duties to support team sprint or Kanban commitments.
- • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, verbally and in writing.
- • Maintain business-specific knowledge and contribute positively to team culture by treating coworkers as clients and prioritizing customer satisfaction.
- • Work independently with minimal supervision on complex, high-scope assignments requiring deep understanding of multiple application systems and interfaces.
- • Collaborate across business and technical work streams during a multi-year Oracle OIPA policy administration system implementation, influencing the design and structure of the new OIPA team.
- • Ensure all code and documentation adhere to SDLC standards and promote maintainability, clarity, and consistency across the system.
- • Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance system reliability.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent experience in education and/or related professional work experience
- • 5 to 7 years recent work experience developing, testing, debugging, and documenting complex program logic with multiple technologies and platforms, including at least 3 years analyzing and designing application systems
- • 5 to 7 years recent work experience troubleshooting, determining root cause, resolving, and documenting complex system issues, including at least 3 years driving productivity or process improvements through technology tools
- • Proven ability to solve problems effectively in unfamiliar situations, analyze issues logically, and deliver solutions
- • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrate peer leadership, and provide mentorship to junior programmers/analysts
- • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
