- • The French Linguist role at Welocalize is critical to ensuring high-quality, culturally accurate French-language content for global clients, directly supporting the company’s mission to enable enterprises to operate and scale internationally through AI-powered localization solutions.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include performing quality control, on-demand translation, and copy-editing tasks; acting as a linguistic lead on assigned projects; coordinating internal and freelance translator teams; training and developing freelancers; and ensuring adherence to language processes and quality standards within project deadlines.
- • Welocalize, a Welo Global brand, is a leader in AI-enabled multilingual content solutions, serving enterprises in over 300 languages with its patented Opal Platform, which integrates AI, automation, and human expertise to streamline global content workflows. The company operates with seven ISO certifications and maintains a global presence with headquarters in New York and offices worldwide.
- • In this role, the French Linguist will deepen expertise in localization project management, linguistic quality assurance, and team coordination; gain hands-on experience with AI-integrated translation workflows; develop leadership skills in guiding freelance linguist teams; and contribute to high-stakes, scalable multilingual content delivery for international enterprises.
🎯 Requirements
- • Native or near-native proficiency in French (C2 level)
- • Professional experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality assurance
- • Ability to coordinate and manage translator teams (internal and freelance)
- • Experience with translation memory tools and localization platforms
- • Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines under quality standards
