📋 Description

• • As a Machine Learning Engineer at Latent Health, you will own the design, development, and operation of production-grade ML systems that run in real clinical workflows, directly impacting patient outcomes by building systems that understand both population-level clinical knowledge and individual patient history.
• • You will drive end-to-end ML systems from ambiguous problem definition through reliable production deployment, including architecture, data, modeling, evaluation, and infrastructure, while training and fine-tuning large language models for clinical reasoning, medical question answering, and evidence-grounded generation.
• • Latent Health is building AI systems to rebuild personalized healthcare for underserved populations, using one of the most clinically diverse datasets in the U.S. to enable verifiable, patient-specific clinical reasoning in real-world workflows.
• • You will take ownership of critical systems in a small, high-caliber team, developing evaluation frameworks for model safety, integrating ML into product workflows, monitoring production performance, and defining correctness in ambiguous clinical contexts alongside engineers and clinicians.
