• As a Machine Learning Engineer at HappyRobot, you will be at the forefront of innovation, instrumental in building the AI models that enable human-like conversations. This role sits at the critical intersection of speech, language, and artificial intelligence. You will have the unique opportunity to transform cutting-edge research into robust, real-time, and scalable systems that form the backbone of our core products. • Your responsibilities will encompass the entire lifecycle of machine learning systems. This includes designing, building, and maintaining scalable ML infrastructure, from the initial stages of data ingestion and preprocessing through to model training, rigorous testing, and seamless deployment. You will be tasked with developing and optimizing end-to-end ML pipelines, ensuring reliability, reproducibility, and efficiency in data collection, labeling, training, validation, and ongoing monitoring.
• A key aspect of this role involves implementing and championing robust MLOps practices. This includes establishing effective model versioning, meticulous experiment tracking, implementing CI/CD pipelines tailored for ML workflows, and setting up continuous monitoring systems for production environments. Your work will directly contribute to the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of our AI-powered solutions.
• You will collaborate closely with our product and engineering teams, ensuring the smooth integration and deployment of ML models into our real-time products. A strong emphasis will be placed on efficiency, scalability, and maintaining high performance under demanding operational conditions. Ensuring data quality, implementing comprehensive observability across all AI systems, and proactively monitoring performance will be critical to your success.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience in machine learning, deep learning, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Solid background in MLOps, including model deployment, monitoring, and scaling in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Go.
• Experience with ML lifecycle management tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Weights & Biases).
• Ability to design ML systems for robustness, scalability, and automation.
• Strong coding, debugging, and data engineering skills.
