📋 Description

• • As a Machine Learning Engineer, Assessments at Speak AI Inc., you will build and own end-to-end assessment ML systems that power language proficiency scoring and feedback across Speak’s products, directly enabling millions of learners to track and improve their speaking skills through reliable, scalable AI.
• • Your day-to-day work will involve building, deploying, and maintaining scoring pipelines (feature extraction → model training → inference → feedback), defining evaluation frameworks, collaborating closely with the Assessment Design Lead to align model outputs with pedagogical rubrics, and improving summative and formative assessments for production use across B2C and Speak for Business.
• • You will join a fast-growing, mission-driven AI company backed by top-tier investors including OpenAI, Accel, and Founders Fund, with a distributed team across San Francisco, Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, and Ljubljana, where your work will directly impact how people learn languages globally.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in applied ML for language assessment, gain experience in psychometrics-informed model evaluation, and help build a reusable assessment platform that combines cutting-edge ML with real-world educational impact.
