- • Mainframe Systems Administrator role supporting critical government, defense, and intelligence projects for GDIT, ensuring operational stability and performance of mainframe systems.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include providing operational support for Data Control and Operation teams, managing daily production batch processing, updating run books and escalation procedures, supporting major application deployments and system upgrades, monitoring system performance, managing batch workflow, reviewing and approving elevation, scheduling change, and ad hoc requests, producing monthly operational metrics reports, gathering weekly changes for business entities, managing incidents via Remedy Force, participating in daily turnover meetings with developers, and providing off-hour on-call support.
- • GDIT is a global technology and professional services company with 26,000 experts delivering consulting, technology, and mission services to U.S. government, defense, and intelligence agencies across 50 countries, specializing in digital modernization, AI/ML, Cloud, Cyber, and application development.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in mainframe systems administration, gain experience in high-stakes government IT operations, contribute to mission-critical system reliability, and develop skills in incident management, process documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with application teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of related experience in mainframe systems administration
- • Expertise in Mainframe Computers, Mainframe Operating System, Mainframe Support, and Mainframe Technologies
- • US Citizenship Required
- • Ability to provide off-hour on-call support for operation-related incidents
- • Experience managing incidents and creating tickets in Remedy Force system
- • Experience supporting daily production batch processing and tracking system KPIs for monthly metrics reporting
