- • Lead a team of Senior and Professional-level Business Intelligence Engineers through the full lifecycle of data-driven inquiry resolution, including root cause analysis, impact assessment, action planning, execution, documentation, and progress tracking for Medicaid business initiatives.
- • Design and develop scalable data models and data visualizations using healthcare-related data to transform complex datasets into actionable business insights for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- • Analyze Medicaid data to solve a wide variety of business problems, delivering clear, concise, and strategic recommendations grounded in data to inform organizational decision-making.
- • Build and maintain visualization suites using tools such as Power BI to support diverse business customer needs across departments, ensuring accessibility and usability of insights.
- • Apply advanced technical expertise in SQL development and Databricks to manage, integrate, and analyze large and complex data sets within a healthcare enterprise environment.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with other managers and departments to align data initiatives with business objectives, conduct briefings, and lead area meetings to ensure consistent execution.
- • Maintain proficiency in healthcare data structures and terminology, including Medicaid Enrollment and Membership data, with familiarity in 834 file processing.
- • Mentor and develop junior team members through direct supervision, skill-building, and performance guidance, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high-performance analytics.
- • Work within established guidelines and procedures to determine project approach, allocate resources, set schedules, and define goals for departmental BI initiatives.
- • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by working from a dedicated, interruption-free space to protect member PHI during all remote work activities.
- • Accommodate business hours aligned with Eastern Standard Time and remain available outside standard hours as needed to support critical business operations.
- • Contribute to a mission-driven organization focused on improving consumer health experiences through data-enabled solutions that enhance care delivery and operational efficiency.
- • Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies including user story grooming, sprint planning, and CI/CD processes to deliver high-quality analytics solutions with improved team velocity and speed to market.
- • Utilize Azure DevOps for workload management and integrate tools such as GIT, NuGet, and Azure Data Factory/SSIS for ETL and data warehousing workflows.
- • Support the development and maintenance of analytics solutions across various healthcare sectors, including Medicare and Medicaid programs, to drive strategic planning and operational improvements.
- • Engage with hiring technology (HireVue) as part of the interview process to demonstrate skills and experience in a flexible, asynchronous format.
- • Maintain minimum internet connectivity requirements (25 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload) for remote work and ensure use of approved connection types; satellite, cellular, or microwave connections require leadership approval.
- • Work remotely nationwide with occasional travel required to Humana offices for training or scheduled meetings.
