- • As a Manager, Care Management - LTSS at Centene Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the health of our communities by leading a dedicated team focused on Long-Term Support Services (LTSS) for our members. - • You will be responsible for overseeing and meticulously reviewing all required long-term care management documentation, ensuring strict adherence to federal and state regulations, as well as contractual agreements. This includes developing, implementing, and continuously refining long-term care management policies and procedures within your team, aligning them with current regulatory requirements and best industry standards.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve the strategic assignment, diligent monitoring, and thorough evaluation of work assignments and caseloads for your long-term care management staff. This assignment process will be carefully considered based on state requirements, the experience level of your care management team members, and the specific needs of each member.
- • You will direct the daily activities of the LTSS management team, including the critical task of reviewing and approving caseloads. This approval process will be guided by state mandates, the expertise of your staff, and the unique requirements of the members they serve, ensuring optimal resource allocation and member support.
- • This position requires you to expertly manage escalated and complex care cases. You will provide direct guidance and mentorship to your team members, empowering them to effectively address member concerns and navigate challenging situations with empathy and efficiency.
- • You will ensure seamless coordination and clear communication of medical service functions with other departmental functions across the business, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes member well-being.
- • A significant part of your contribution will be in developing, implementing, and overseeing innovative long-term care management programs. These programs will be designed to facilitate the optimal use of appropriate services and resources, enhancing the overall care experience for our members.
- • You will set clear, measurable goals and objectives for your long-term care management team, driving them towards the achievement of cost-effective healthcare results without compromising on quality.
- • You will collaborate closely with long-term care management senior leadership, providing regular updates, valuable insights, and strategic recommendations regarding the team's goals and performance.
- • Through the review of long-term care member data, you will identify critical trends, pinpoint areas for improvement, and drive enhancements in operating performance and the delivery of quality care, all while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
- • You will be instrumental in providing ongoing coaching and guidance to your team, fostering their professional development and empowering them to improve both member and provider experiences, ultimately facilitating the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care.
- • You will actively educate and equip your team with the knowledge and resources needed for key initiatives and member outreach efforts, promoting consistent and effective communication channels between the care management team, members, and providers.
- • In partnership with senior leadership, you will assist in the crucial processes of onboarding, hiring, and training new members of the long-term care management team, contributing to the growth and strength of your department.
- • This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring that Centene remains at the forefront of care management innovation.

- • This is a remote position based in Kansas, requiring approximately 20% travel and managing a team of approximately 10 direct reports, working core business hours Monday - Friday.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience in care management, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- • Proven experience in managing a team, with a strong ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff.
- • In-depth knowledge of Long-Term Support Services (LTSS), federal and state regulations governing healthcare, and compliance requirements.
- • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex cases and stakeholder relationships.
- • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to identify trends and drive performance improvements.
