- • This Manager-level role in Emergency Management and Business Continuity is critical to ensuring Bon Secours Mercy Health can maintain operations during crises, disasters, or disruptions by developing, implementing, and testing comprehensive emergency preparedness, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies across a multi-facility healthcare system.
- • The person will lead the design, maintenance, and enhancement of Emergency Management (EM), Continuity of Operations (COOP), Business Continuity (BC), and Disaster Recovery (DR) programs, focusing on risk assessments, business impact analysis, crisis management planning, and recovery strategy development for IT systems and critical business processes.
- • Day to day, the manager will conduct and oversee business impact analyses, develop and update emergency and continuity plans, coordinate testing and exercises of recovery procedures, ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and maintain vital records programs essential for recovery.
- • They will act as a key liaison between business units, IT, protective services, and emergency management teams to align recovery objectives, define equipment and personnel needs, lead offsite IT and business recovery efforts, and document test results from user recovery and system restoration exercises.
- • The role includes managing budgets, preparing executive presentations, supervising personnel and consultants, leading actual disaster response efforts when activated, and building consensus with senior leadership and crisis management teams on emergency preparedness initiatives.
- • They will continually build expertise in EM/BC/DR concepts, manage vendor relationships, conduct internal and external audits, and ensure adherence to BSMH policies on business continuity, emergency management, cybersecurity, and privacy.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- • 5 years’ experience in information systems, emergency management, and/or healthcare security in a multi-facility environment (required)
- • CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or CHPCP (Certified Healthcare Provider Continuity Professional) – preferred upon hire, required within 6 months of hire
- • Knowledge of business continuity and/or disaster recovery solutions and practices
- • Experience performing risk analyses and business impact analyses
- • Experience with technical writing of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity policies
