📋 Description
- • Administer specialty infusion therapies to patients in a low-volume outpatient neurology infusion center in Fort Collins, CO
- • Start and maintain IVs with precision, utilizing UV vein finder technology to enhance accuracy and patient comfort
- • Monitor patients throughout infusion treatments lasting 1–5 hours, observing for adverse reactions and responding promptly and appropriately
- • Provide comprehensive patient education before, during, and after infusion sessions to promote understanding and adherence to treatment plans
- • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and all clinical protocols to ensure patient safety and data privacy
- • Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to deliver seamless, coordinated care and optimize the patient experience
- • Manage 2–3 patients simultaneously during each shift, allowing for focused, high-quality care and meaningful clinical interactions
- • Work exclusively on weekday shifts (Monday–Friday) with no nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities
- • Receive structured onboarding including virtual training and in-clinic shadowing before transitioning to independent patient care
- • Operate in a calm, controlled outpatient environment designed to minimize chaos and maximize therapeutic engagement
- • Contribute to a growing program with opportunities for increased shift hours as patient volume expands
- • Uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence and safety while working independently within a small, collaborative team
- • Document patient assessments, infusion details, and responses accurately in electronic health records following clinic protocols
- • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinic operations and patient outcomes
- • Engage with patients with empathy and professionalism, fostering trust and long-term therapeutic relationships
- • Adhere to all facility policies, infection control practices, and medication handling procedures for infusion therapies
- • Maintain clinical competency in neurology-specific infusions and associated treatment protocols
- • Prepare and verify infusion medications according to physician orders and pharmacy guidelines
- • Coordinate with nursing and administrative staff to ensure efficient scheduling and resource allocation
- • Prioritize patient-centered care in an environment where pace and volume support thoughtful, individualized attention
