Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • As the first Enterprise Security Manager at Abridge AI, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of enterprise security across the organization, securing identities, endpoints, SaaS applications, and corporate infrastructure to enable safe and scalable operations in a high-growth AI healthcare environment.
- • You will define and drive the vision for enterprise security, build and lead a high-performing team of security engineers, architect identity and access management (IAM) and Zero Trust controls, secure the endpoint fleet, drive SaaS and third-party security programs, automate security operations, partner cross-functionally with IT, Legal, Compliance, and People teams, lead enterprise AI security initiatives, and make pragmatic build vs. buy decisions for security tooling.
- • Abridge is a pioneering generative AI healthcare company transforming patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes with deep EMR integrations, backed by auditable AI and Linked Evidence to ensure trust and verification. The company is composed of practicing MDs, AI scientists, PhDs, creatives, technologists, and engineers working across offices in San Francisco, New York, and Pittsburgh to make healthcare more understandable and human-centered.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to build an enterprise security function from 0 → 1, shape security culture, gain deep experience in securing AI adoption in healthcare, develop leadership and technical expertise in IAM, endpoint security, cloud/SaaS protection, and automation, and grow professionally by influencing security strategy at the executive level while enabling business velocity through secure, scalable systems.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years in enterprise security, identity security, corporate security, or adjacent security engineering domains, with at least 2+ years in a management or team-lead capacity
- • Strong hands-on depth in identity and access management, including SSO, OAuth/OIDC, SCIM, authentication protocols, access lifecycle management, and identity governance, with understanding of Zero Trust security architectures
- • Experience designing and operating endpoint security programs at scale, including EDR, MDM, device compliance, and fleet management across macOS, Windows, and Linux
- • Deep familiarity with securing cloud-native environments (GCP or AWS) and managing the security posture of a large, evolving SaaS estate
- • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Go, or similar), with experience writing clean, maintainable code and infrastructure-as-code
- • Demonstrated ability to partner with IT, HR, Legal, and Compliance to deliver security outcomes through influence, not mandates
- • Exceptional communication skills to translate complex security risks into clear business terms for audiences from engineers to executive leadership
🏖️ Benefits
- • Generous Time Off: 14 paid holidays, flexible PTO for salaried employees, and accrued time off for hourly employees
- • Comprehensive Health Plans: Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage for all full-time employees and their families
- • Generous HSA Contribution: Monthly contributions to HSA for those choosing a High Deductible Health Plan
- • Paid Parental Leave: Generous paid parental leave for all full-time employees
