  • • As the Manager, HSE Compliance at Brambles Limited, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our extensive operations across North America, Mexico, and Brazil consistently meet and exceed health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, internal standards, and global compliance frameworks.
  • • This pivotal role goes beyond mere adherence to regulations; it's about embedding a culture of responsible operation and safeguarding our people and the environment within a complex global supply chain.
  • • You will be the guardian of compliance, working closely with site leaders and functional partners to proactively identify potential risks, drive the implementation of robust corrective actions, and significantly enhance audit outcomes across a multi-site manufacturing and logistics network.
  • • A key responsibility involves monitoring and ensuring strict adherence to all applicable safety and environmental legislation, including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations in the US, and relevant Canadian regulatory requirements.
  • • You will be the primary owner and optimizer of HSE systems within the region, such as iCARE, Near Miss, and the Brambles Alert System, providing essential training and ongoing support to regional users to maximize their effectiveness.
  • • A significant part of your role will be to champion and increase the adoption and usage of these critical HSE systems through proactive internal promotion and the development of innovative solutions, potentially including mobile applications, to streamline reporting processes and enhance user experience.
  • • You will lead the execution of the annual global safety audit program, meticulously publishing results, diligently tracking corrective actions to ensure their timely and effective closure, and maintaining the highest standards of data integrity throughout the process.
  • • As a key decision-making resource for incident reporting, you will provide expert classification support for injuries and incidents, ensuring accurate categorization and appropriate follow-up actions.
  • • Protecting personally identifiable information (PII) within HSE systems will be paramount, requiring you to maintain stringent standards of data integrity and confidentiality at all times.
  • • You will also support the external audit of safety statistics, playing a crucial role in the collection and verification of data from regional sites selected for detailed reviews.
  • • This role offers the opportunity to lead, coach, and develop a dedicated team of HSE compliance specialists, fostering a high-performing, results-driven team committed to consistently exceeding organizational safety and compliance objectives.
  • • You will be responsible for compliance assurance, ensuring readiness for audits, and managing regulatory risk across approximately 20 CHEP-owned sites and supporting over 40 third-party partner (TPM) sites through the GAP audit process.
  • • Collaboration will be key as you partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, HR, and site-level HSE teams to effectively address compliance gaps and proactively mitigate regulatory risks.
  • • You will be tasked with preparing clear, concise audit reports, comprehensive compliance summaries, and insightful risk assessments for leadership review, providing them with the necessary information to make informed decisions.
  • • Leading and supporting incident investigations, particularly those related to compliance findings or potential regulatory exposure, will be an integral part of your responsibilities.
  • • The role involves managing and developing at least one direct report, who will assist in audit execution and ISO-related activities, contributing to the overall strength of the HSE compliance function.
  • • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation and providing support during regulatory inspections are essential duties.
  • • The geographic scope of this role encompasses the U.S. and Canada, with very limited, occasional support for Brazil, and requires a travel expectation of 50–60%, primarily aligned with audit schedules. Travel is typically planned and predictable, allowing for home weekends.
  • • Success in this role will be measured by strong audit outcomes with a demonstrable reduction in repeat findings, improved consistency in regulatory compliance across all sites, and clear visibility into compliance risks and corrective action status.
  • • You will be recognized as a trusted partner by site and regional leadership, contributing to the establishment of a disciplined and sustainable audit and compliance process.
  • • We are looking for a collaborative and credible compliance leader who excels at building trust across diverse operational sites and is comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization, from plant floor teams to senior executives.
  • • The ideal candidate is confident, pragmatic, and possesses the ability to effectively balance strong interpersonal relationships with the necessary rigor of compliance.
  • • You will be a team-oriented professional who deeply values connection, inclusion, and shared accountability in achieving HSE excellence.
