  • • As a key member of our legal team, you will be instrumental in driving Remote's mission forward by providing expert legal counsel on a wide array of commercial agreements, with a particular focus on our critical partnership initiatives.   • • You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including but not limited to, partnership agreements, reseller agreements, referral agreements, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and other collaboration frameworks. Your expertise will ensure that Remote's partnerships are structured to mitigate risk, maximize value, and align with our overarching business objectives.
  • • This position requires a deep understanding of commercial law, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, particularly as they pertain to international business and technology. You will advise internal stakeholders across various departments, including Business Development, Sales, Product, and Engineering, on legal risks and opportunities associated with new and existing partnerships.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve developing and implementing standardized legal processes and templates for partnership agreements to enhance efficiency and consistency. You will also contribute to the development of legal strategies for market entry and expansion, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations in diverse jurisdictions.
  • • You will be at the forefront of identifying and assessing legal risks associated with new business models and partnership opportunities, providing practical and actionable advice to guide decision-making. This includes conducting due diligence, advising on corporate structuring for partnerships, and managing intellectual property considerations.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Admission to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction (e.g., US state, UK, EU country).
  • • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in commercial law, with a significant focus on drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex partnership, reseller, and strategic alliance agreements.
  • • Proven experience working with technology companies or in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, preferably within the HR tech, SaaS, or global employment solutions space.
  • • Strong understanding of intellectual property law, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and international commercial law.
  • • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
