- • The Manheim Mobile Vehicle Inspector II role is a critical position within Cox Automotive’s Vehicle Operations team, responsible for conducting accurate and thorough vehicle condition inspections on dealer lots across the Los Angeles Metro North region. This role directly supports the integrity of the Manheim Marketplace by ensuring reliable vehicle data, which builds client trust and drives increased inventory submissions through consistent, high-quality inspections.
- • As an Individual Contributor with remote work flexibility (requiring residence in the specified region), the inspector operates with minimal supervision, exercising growing independence and problem-solving skills while representing Cox Automotive as a brand ambassador committed to safety, excellence, and client satisfaction.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive vehicle inspections covering exterior, interior, mechanical, and structural components; verifying VIN, mileage, and sub-series accuracy; documenting damage, missing, or inoperable items; and performing basic mechanical checks on powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical systems.
- • Inspectors must safely locate, start, move, and return vehicles on client lots, adapt quickly to changing daily appointments, and maintain production expectations while utilizing SalesForce.com for reporting, lead input, and customer performance tracking.

- • The role offers meaningful opportunities to develop deep automotive expertise, refine client relationship management skills, gain proficiency in industry-standard inspection systems and CRM tools like SalesForce.com, and grow into a trusted advisor within the wholesale vehicle ecosystem.
- • Inspectors can advance their technical and interpersonal capabilities while contributing to a mission-driven organization that values innovation, integrity, and the transformation of how vehicles are bought, sold, and experienced.
