- • Marketing Manager role focused on building and scaling the Beat the Utility offering for David Energy Inc., a Series A clean energy startup aiming to run the grid on clean energy 24/7/365 by offering cheaper and cleaner power than traditional providers.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include building editorial cadence for social media (especially Instagram), leading website and blog strategy with SEO content and case studies, writing about complex energy topics for non-technical audiences, ensuring brand consistency, developing event strategies with NYC commercial associations, executing brand activations, translating product evolution into messaging and visuals, owning collateral suites, partnering with sales and customer service to create marketing assets, and maintaining feedback loops between field learnings and marketing output.
- • David Energy is a Series A company creating a new kind of power company that taps into renewable supply and controllable capacity (e.g., solar, batteries) to offer cheaper, cleaner energy, currently operating in NYC (NYISO Zone J) and scaling toward hundreds of new customer locations per month with plans to expand across the Northeast.
- • The role offers ownership and direct collaboration with sales, design, and leadership, enabling the candidate to grow expertise in B2B marketing for clean energy, develop skills in product positioning and event-driven lead generation, and achieve measurable impact on pipeline and customer acquisition in a fast-moving startup environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6-8 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally with startup experience
- • Strong writer with clear instincts — able to write LinkedIn posts, case studies, and sales one-pagers with consistent brand voice
- • Hands-on event experience — planned and staffed trade shows or community events, managing logistics while maintaining pipeline quality
- • Sales-aligned mindset — measures success by pipeline and signed customers
- • Comfortable with ambiguity — able to set priorities and adjust as information evolves
- • Agile with tools including HubSpot, Salesforce, Figma, Canva, and Claude Pro
