📋 Description
- • As a Media Operations Manager at MUBI, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional cinematic content to audiences worldwide. This position serves as a critical nexus, bridging the gap between our esteemed post-production facilities, dynamic Distribution and Sales departments, and a diverse array of global partners. Your technical acumen and operational expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards MUBI is known for, making great cinema accessible to everyone, everywhere.
- • Your primary responsibility will involve meticulously reviewing and approving technical specifications provided by our sales partners, external vendors, and licensors. This ensures that all content adheres to the precise requirements for each platform and territory, safeguarding the integrity and quality of the final product.
- • A key aspect of your role will be the technical conformation of Audio-Visual (AV) elements. You will be adept at performing edits and conversions, including framerate adjustments and audio modifications, to create deliverables that are fully compliant with the stringent technical specifications of our sales partners. This hands-on work is crucial for preparing content for various distribution channels.
- • You will be entrusted with the critical task of managing the timely delivery of all film elements to an extensive network of clients. This includes, but is not limited to, Transactional Video on Demand (TVOD), Electronic Sell-Through (EST), Physical Video, traditional Television, Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD), Advertising-based Video on Demand (AVOD), Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) services, and even specialized channels like airlines, ships, and educational platforms. Your proficiency with a variety of Content Management System (CMS) tools will be essential for navigating these diverse delivery mechanisms.
- • The ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously will be paramount. You will need to expertly manage competing priorities, ensuring that all content deliverables not only meet their deadlines but also consistently adhere to the highest technical standards. This requires exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to project management.
- • Quality control (QC) will be a cornerstone of your daily activities. You will perform rigorous QC checks and file validation on all created assets, acting as the final gatekeeper before content reaches our partners. This meticulous attention to detail is vital for preventing any potential issues and maintaining MUBI's reputation for quality.
- • Furthermore, you will be responsible for investigating any QC flags raised by our partners during the delivery process. This involves a systematic approach to identifying the root cause of issues, collaborating with relevant teams to implement solutions, and ensuring that corrective actions are taken promptly to maintain partner satisfaction.
- • A forward-thinking mindset is highly valued. You will be encouraged to identify areas within the department that present opportunities for development and improvement. This includes actively supporting the design and implementation of new workflows and tools that can enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and ultimately elevate the overall media operations process.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to MUBI's mission of making great cinema accessible globally. You will be an integral part of a passionate team dedicated to the art and business of film distribution, working in a fast-paced, international environment.
- • Your contributions will directly impact the reach and availability of critically acclaimed and visionary films, ensuring that MUBI's curated selection continues to delight and engage cinephiles around the world. You will be at the forefront of content delivery, navigating the complexities of the modern media landscape with expertise and precision.
- • The role demands a blend of technical proficiency, operational excellence, and a deep appreciation for film. You will be working with cutting-edge technology and collaborating with talented individuals across various departments, all united by a shared passion for cinema. Your ability to adapt to evolving industry standards and partner requirements will be key to your success in this dynamic position.
- • By ensuring the smooth and technically sound delivery of content, you will be directly contributing to MUBI's growth and its ability to connect filmmakers with audiences on a global scale. This is a chance to be part of a company that truly values cinema and is committed to its preservation and promotion.
