Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the entire media lifecycle—from the first storyboard to the final export—creating YouTube explainers, TikTok shorts, podcast episodes, and motion graphics that make WunderGraph’s complex GraphQL platform feel intuitive and exciting for developers, CTOs, and product teams worldwide.
- • Translate deeply technical concepts (API composition, federated graphs, serverless deployment) into binge-worthy narratives that keep viewers watching and listeners subscribing; you’ll storyboard, script, film, edit, mix, grade, and animate every asset yourself or with light contractor support.
- • Build and run “The Good Thing” podcast from scratch: line up guests (founders, engineers, community heroes), record remote or in-studio sessions, edit for clarity and pace, craft audiograms, publish to all major platforms, and promote each episode across social and email to grow a loyal audience.
- • Establish a repeatable production pipeline that ships at least two high-impact videos and one podcast episode every week without sacrificing quality; build reusable After Effects templates, LUT packs, and audio presets so every release feels unmistakably WunderGraph.
- • Optimize every asset for its native platform—16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for Shorts/Reels, 1:1 for LinkedIn, waveforms for Spotify—while A/B testing thumbnails, titles, and hooks to maximize CTR, watch time, and subscriber growth.
- • Collaborate shoulder-to-shoulder with the CEO, VP of Marketing, and senior engineers to capture product launches, customer wins, and culture moments; you’ll be in the room (or on the Zoom) when big decisions happen so you can turn them into compelling stories the same day.
- • Experiment relentlessly: interactive explainers that let viewers toggle code samples, cinematic customer case studies shot on location, meme-worthy micro-content that humanizes our devs—whatever it takes to stand out in a crowded dev-tool landscape.
- • Monitor performance obsessively—views, retention, CTR, share rate, podcast downloads—then feed insights back into creative briefs; present a concise monthly dashboard to leadership showing what worked, what flopped, and what’s next.
- • Champion brand consistency by owning our motion identity system—logo stings, lower thirds, typography, color grading—so every frame screams WunderGraph even when muted.
- • Leverage AI-powered tools (Descript, Runway, Midjourney, etc.) to accelerate editing, generate captions, repurpose long-form into micro-clips, and keep us on the bleeding edge of production tech.
- • Occasionally pack your gear and travel to team retreats, customer sites, or conferences to capture behind-the-scenes footage and live interviews that money can’t buy.
- • Thrive in a remote-first, async culture where Slack threads and Loom updates replace endless meetings; you’ll manage your own calendar, hit aggressive deadlines, and still find time to surf (or nap) because results matter more than hours.
