Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Member of Technical Staff at Linqapp Inc., you will take real ownership of the company’s core product, working on the most critical technical challenges across backend, frontend, infrastructure, APIs, and data systems — wherever your skills are needed most to drive impact and scalability.
- • This role is designed for a curious, action-oriented generalist who thrives in ambiguous environments, ships production code with speed and quality, and can immediately contribute to complex codebases without extensive hand-holding, directly reporting to the CTO in a flat, high-impact organization.
- • You will help scale the APIs that developers use to integrate with Linq, collaborate across teams to solve urgent technical problems, and contribute to product evolution in a fast-moving startup where priorities shift weekly and initiative is rewarded over process adherence.
- • Linqapp Inc. is a small, agile engineering team solving real-world problems with minimal bureaucracy, offering direct access to leadership and the opportunity to shape both the product and engineering culture in a growing tech hub.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise across multiple domains — including full-stack development, API design, cloud infrastructure, and systems thinking — while gaining end-to-end ownership experience that accelerates your growth as a versatile, high-impact engineer capable of leading technical initiatives from concept to production.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong generalist with deep expertise in at least a couple of technical areas, demonstrated by shipping production code where both speed and quality were prioritized.
- • Proven ability to learn and contribute to new codebases quickly, with minimal onboarding or hand-holding.
- • Hands-on experience with Linqapp’s stack: React/Next.js, TypeScript, Go, Python, and background in building or working with APIs at scale.
- • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms including AWS, Azure, Heroku, and Docker.
- • Startup experience — comfortable operating in environments where priorities change frequently and self-direction is expected.
- • Defaults to action over process, with a bias for solving problems independently and moving fast without waiting for direction.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) policy supporting work-life balance.
- • 401(k) retirement plan to support long-term financial planning.
- • Wellness stipend, book stipend, and access to professional development opportunities for continuous growth.
- • Direct access to engineering leadership and the CTO in a flat organizational structure with no bureaucratic layers.
- • Opportunity to live and work in Birmingham, AL — an affordable city with a rising tech scene, incredible food, and vibrant culture — or work remotely from any location.
