  • • The Microsoft Operations Desk Specialist at CDW plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of Microsoft software licensing agreements and operational requests, directly supporting customer satisfaction and internal sales efficiency by maintaining the integrity of licensing data across complex Microsoft programs.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and updating Microsoft licensing agreements (MPSA, Open Value, Select Plus, CSP/NCE, EA), processing renewals and contract changes, managing Change of Channel Partner (COCP) requests, supporting EA operational items like contact and partner changes, triaging and resolving Microsoft operational cases via Salesforce Quick Cases, meeting SLAs for case progression, processing Annual Billing Statements and MLS reports, supporting bid requests and invoice bids, assisting with perpetual license transfers and EDC creation, working across Salesforce, VLC, VLPC, SPS, AS400, and Microsoft portals, interpreting Microsoft program rules for compliance, serving as an internal SME for Account Managers and SSA teams, participating in SSA pod calls and trainings, guiding request routing outside MOD scope, identifying process inefficiencies for improvement, contributing to internal documentation and training materials, adapting to Microsoft and tooling changes, and developing deep expertise in assigned software and order processes.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Associate’s degree in Business or IT, or 2+ years of equivalent job experience in a similar operational or licensing support role.
  • • 2+ years of experience with MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • • 2+ years of customer service experience with proven ability to maintain high satisfaction ratings from internal and external stakeholders.
  • • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations for process improvement.
  • • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness in handling licensing agreements, contract changes, and compliance requirements.
  • • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting operational SLAs and deadlines.
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, including internal teams, vendors, and Microsoft stakeholders.
  • • Proven ability to learn new systems quickly, including Salesforce, Volume Licensing Central (VLC), VLPC, SPS, AS400, and Microsoft portals, and adapt to evolving tools and processes.
  • • Willingness to travel as needed to CDW locations or client sites to support operational needs.
