- • Design and own end-to-end buyer experiences across iOS, Android, and Web, using research and data to validate decisions and ship high-quality work.
- • Drive core product areas including onboarding, discovery, purchase experience, and checkout for millions of users.
- • Champion user needs through research and data to identify problems and design high-impact solutions that improve shopping outcomes.
- • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, marketing, and data teams to define roadmaps, ideate new features, and align on product strategy.
- • Apply UX principles consistently across all surfaces, raising the bar for craft, consistency, and polish in every shipped feature.
- • Contribute to and evolve the Tilt Design System and brand identity to ensure scalable, cohesive experiences across platforms.
- • Play an active role in shaping design culture by sharing work openly, giving sharp feedback, and pushing the team to elevate their craft.
- • Build deep understanding of Tilt’s product, customers, and market through user research, data analysis, and insights within the first 0–3 months.
- • Design and ship your first key features end-to-end from day one, setting a high craft bar and establishing credibility early.
- • Partner with product and design to uncover high-impact opportunities and experiments that drive user growth and engagement.
- • Spot weaknesses in design processes, rituals, and tools, and propose actionable changes that improve quality and efficiency.
- • Collaborate with marketing and growth teams to shape engaging mechanics for the new shopping experience, including social and community-driven features.
- • Become a trusted voice in product strategy after 3+ months, influencing direction across engineering, product, and marketing teams.
- • Drive a high-craft culture within product teams by advocating for consistency, clear UX principles, and evidence-based decision-making.
- • Help shape how Tilt explores, validates, and builds product — influencing methodology, timelines, and success metrics.
- • Design across both buyer and seller experiences, contributing to projects that span the full commerce ecosystem on the platform.
- • Work within a lean, ambitious team as the third Product Designer, with direct impact on culture, strategy, and product evolution.
- • Operate in a fast-moving startup environment where autonomy, ownership, and speed are valued over rigid processes.
- • Use platform-specific patterns and design systems to deliver fluid, intuitive, and emotionally resonant shopping experiences.
- • Translate qualitative user feedback and quantitative data into actionable design iterations and validated hypotheses.
- • Maintain high standards for visual design, interaction, motion, and systems thinking in all deliverables.
- • Engage in continuous learning by studying top-tier design work and applying those insights to Tilt’s unique context.
🎯 Requirements
- • Track record of shipping meaningful work, ideally including products taken from 0 to 1.
- • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual design, prototyping, interaction, motion, and systems thinking with platform-specific awareness.
- • Experience collaborating with engineering, product, marketing, and data teams to define roadmaps and deliver features end-to-end.
- • Ability to move quickly through prototyping and iteration without sacrificing strategic thinking or user-centered principles.
- • Natural collaborator who thrives on feedback and is committed to growing and elevating the team’s design culture.
- • Bonus: Experience in e-commerce, social platforms, or early-stage startups.
