📋 Description

• This freelance ML Engineer - AI Trainer role offers experienced machine learning professionals the opportunity to shape the next generation of AI systems by refining and validating AI-generated technical content, ensuring it reflects real-world ML engineering rigor and best practices.
• The role is ideal for ML engineers, data scientists, or AI engineers based in the EU or UK who want to apply their expertise flexibly (8–20 hrs/week) alongside existing commitments, contributing to the improvement of widely used AI platforms without building models for individual use cases.
• You will review and refine AI-generated outputs across ML topics, evaluating technical accuracy, adherence to ML best practices, and compliance with industry standards, ensuring AI responses are grounded in practical engineering realities.
• You will draft realistic ML engineering scenarios covering model evaluation, deployment strategies, data pipeline design, scaling challenges, interpretability, and ethical considerations, then create role-based variations (e.g., for ML engineer, data scientist, business stakeholder, or compliance advisor) to test AI’s contextual understanding.
• You will identify gaps, oversimplifications, or flawed reasoning in AI-generated content—particularly around structured problem solving, edge cases, and theoretical application—and provide targeted improvements to enhance AI reasoning depth and reliability.
• You will assess and strengthen AI’s ability to reason about ML workflows, including model development, tuning, monitoring, fairness, explainability, and MLOps, helping bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation.
• Your feedback will directly influence how AI systems understand and respond to technical ML queries at scale, improving performance for engineers, researchers, and practitioners worldwide who rely on AI for learning and decision-making.

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience as a machine learning engineer, data scientist, or AI engineer, with proven expertise across the full ML lifecycle including model development, evaluation, tuning, deployment, and monitoring.
• Based in the EU or UK, with availability to commit 8 to 20 hours per week on a flexible, remote schedule, ideally alongside current professional engagements.
• Strong familiarity with current ML frameworks, MLOps best practices, and ethical or AI governance standards, coupled with the ability to critically assess limitations in data, experimental design, model selection, fairness, and explainability.
