đź“‹ Description
- • As a Machine Learning Engineer II – Scene Model at Torc Robotics, you will develop and deploy machine learning models that enable autonomous trucks to understand their surrounding environment, focusing on bird’s-eye-view (BEV) perception systems that fuse LiDAR, camera, radar, and map data.
- • Day to day, you will develop and train ML models for object detection, road and lane prediction, semantic voxel classification, occupancy prediction, and map understanding in BEV space; implement production-quality ML code for training, evaluation, and inference; analyze model performance and failure modes; curate large-scale datasets from simulation, fleet logs, and on-vehicle data; collaborate with perception, prediction, planning, and infrastructure teams; and contribute to tooling that improves training efficiency and reproducibility.
- • You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on building robust multi-modal perception systems for autonomous trucking, working closely with experts in perception, prediction, planning, and platform infrastructure to advance scene understanding within the autonomy stack.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in BEV representation, multi-modal sensor fusion, and scalable ML infrastructure while contributing to real-world autonomous driving systems that improve safety and efficiency in logistics and transportation.
