Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end infrastructure that turns cutting-edge AI research into rock-solid production systems. You will architect, build and operate the backbone of Deltia’s AI platform, ensuring that every data pipeline, GPU cluster and deployed model runs at peak performance 24/7.
- • Design, deploy and maintain Kubernetes-based GPU clusters that power distributed training jobs and real-time inference services. You will automate cluster provisioning, autoscaling and node lifecycle management so that data scientists can spin up experiments in minutes, not days.
- • Build and harden CI/CD pipelines tailored for machine-learning workflows. From containerised training images to model registry and canary releases, you will automate every step so that new models reach production safely, quickly and with full traceability.
- • Orchestrate multi-terabyte video data ingestion, preprocessing and feature-store pipelines. You will optimise storage tiers (hot, warm, cold), enforce data-quality checks and guarantee low-latency access for both training and inference workloads.
- • Implement comprehensive observability: metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing and alerting that give both engineers and researchers a single pane of glass into system health. You will define SLIs/SLOs and drive incident-response playbooks to keep availability above 99.9 %.
- • Partner daily with data scientists to translate experimental notebooks into reproducible, versioned pipelines. You will package dependencies, pin environments and provide self-service tooling that lets researchers iterate fast without breaking production.
- • Continuously improve reliability, security and cost efficiency. You will benchmark GPU utilisation, right-size cloud resources, introduce chaos-engineering tests and champion infrastructure-as-code reviews to keep technical debt near zero.
- • Champion ethical and secure AI operations. You will embed privacy controls, model-audit trails and compliance checks into every layer of the stack, ensuring that Deltia’s AI solutions remain trustworthy and regulation-ready.
- • Contribute to an open, feedback-driven culture. Whether through blameless post-mortems, lunch-and-learn sessions or 360° reviews, you will help shape best practices that scale with the team and the company.
- • Stay on the leading edge. Evaluate new orchestration tools, GPU architectures and MLOps frameworks; run proof-of-concepts and present findings so that Deltia continues to out-innovate competitors in the manufacturing AI space.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–7 years of hands-on experience running large-scale ML or data-intensive systems in production environments
- • Expert-level knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker
- • Solid Linux sysadmin skills: deep understanding of networking, storage, security and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Consul or Zookeeper
- • Proven track record designing CI/CD pipelines and managing infrastructure-as-code for reproducible, automated deployments
- • Nice-to-have: experience with big-data or streaming-video pipelines, familiarity with RedHat/Debian/CentOS, background in GPU cluster management and distributed training, passion for performance optimisation and inference efficiency
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary plus stock-option package that lets you share directly in Deltia’s growth and success
- • Brand-new office on the AI Campus in Berlin, surrounded by pioneering AI ventures and buzzing with cross-company collaboration
- • Flat hierarchy, flexible working hours and open 360° feedback culture that values every voice
- • Work at the forefront of ethical AI for manufacturing, gaining hands-on experience in an AI-first software company alongside a diverse, 10+ nationality team
