Mobile UI/Design Engineer

📋 Description

• • As a Mobile UI/Design Engineer at Kraken, you will own the craft layer of the React Native mobile experience, focusing on fluid, gesture-driven interactions and transitions that feel native and elevate the user experience for millions of people interacting with their money through the Kraken app.
• • Day to day, you will push React Native beyond its defaults using tools like Reanimated and Skia, partner closely with product designers to challenge and elevate motion and interaction design, establish animation primitives and interaction patterns within the design system, profile and optimize rendering performance—especially on lower-end Android devices—and contribute to architectural decisions affecting UI responsiveness.
• • You will join the Consumer Mobile team, a world-class group of crypto-focused engineers building premium products for traders, institutions, and newcomers, united by a mission to accelerate global crypto adoption and financial inclusion.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in high-performance mobile UI engineering, influence the quality standard across the mobile organization, mentor peers on interaction excellence, and help shape the future of how users feel when they use crypto—because in this space, trust is everything and it starts with how the app feels.
