📋 Description

• The Model Risk Manager - Governance & Reporting is responsible for the tactical strategy and execution of model risk governance policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices while supporting strategic direction of the Model Risk Management framework.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include managing first-line stakeholder communications on policy changes, conducting live training sessions, maintaining Workday training curricula, serving as the primary liaison for governance guidance, managing audit and regulatory exam logistics, and developing centralized reporting for issue management and remediation.
• The role operates within the Model Risk Management team at Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company (M&T Bank), collaborating closely with Model Validation, Model Operations, Audit, Risk, and Regulatory partners, as well as lines of business including Credit Risk, Finance, Treasury, and Mortgage to support enterprise-wide model risk oversight and capital planning.
• The incumbent will develop expertise in model risk governance, regulatory coordination, issue management, and team leadership, gaining experience in strategic policy development, training program management, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement while exercising supervisory authority over a small team and contributing to the bank’s compliance and control environment.

• Pay range of $123,600.00 - $206,000.00 Annual (USD) based on national pay range for the role
