📋 Description

• As a MuleSoft Developer at Agile Defense, you will play a critical role in modernizing and securing mission-critical integration systems that support national defense initiatives, enabling seamless data flow across complex government and defense environments through robust API-led connectivity.
• You will design, develop, and optimize MuleSoft-based integration solutions that automate business processes, enhance system interoperability, and improve operational efficiency for federal clients, directly contributing to the agility and resilience of defense technology infrastructure.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing and developing new process flows within MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to automate and streamline business processes, with a focus on creating reusable, scalable APIs and integrations.
• You will actively participate in the planning and execution of migrating legacy Mule 3.x applications to Mule 4.x, ensuring minimal disruption while improving performance, maintainability, and alignment with current integration best practices.
• You will analyze system logs and application metrics to perform root-cause analysis of performance bottlenecks, integration failures, or infrastructure issues, implementing corrective actions to ensure high availability and reliability of integration services.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including DevOps, security, cloud, and application teams—to design, build, test, and deploy cloud-based integration solutions on AWS, adhering to DevSecOps principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
• You will coordinate integration testing efforts across three or more teams, facilitating end-to-end validation of complex integration scenarios and ensuring data integrity, security compliance, and functional accuracy across system boundaries.
• You will actively engage in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming sessions, sprint planning, and sprint demos, contributing to iterative delivery, continuous improvement, and transparent communication within the Scrum framework.
• You will develop, customize, and maintain general-purpose and specialized software applications using Java and related technologies, tailoring solutions to meet specific client operational needs while optimizing for performance, security, and usability.
• You will analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications for integration solutions, ensuring that developed software aligns with business objectives and enhances end-user workflow efficiency.
• You may contribute to database design and optimization efforts within integration contexts, either independently or as part of a team, to support data persistence, transformation, and retrieval needs within MuleSoft applications.

🎯 Requirements

• Certified MuleSoft Developer I certification (required)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 2+ additional years of relevant IT experience
• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on development projects using DevSecOps, DevOps, and AWS
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing with MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform, including 2+ years specifically with Mule 4.x
• 3+ years of professional Java development experience
• Proven experience integrating with Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Demonstrated experience deploying applications to AWS cloud environments
• Strong background in designing, building, and securing RESTful API-based applications
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills
