- • As the National Account Manager for The Home Depot, you will be the pivotal point of contact and strategic driver for one of our most significant retail partnerships. This role is designed for a dynamic and results-oriented professional who thrives on building robust relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring seamless execution of sales strategies within a major retail environment.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to directly manage the entire lifecycle of the Home Depot account, focusing on accelerating profitable sales growth. This involves not only nurturing existing business but also proactively seeking out and capitalizing on upsell and cross-sell opportunities across Husqvarna's product portfolio relevant to The Home Depot's customer base.
- • You will be instrumental in cultivating and maintaining strong, multi-level relationships across the entire Home Depot organization. This includes engaging with buyers, category managers, operational teams, and other key stakeholders to foster trust, collaboration, and mutual success.
- • A core aspect of your role will be the development and execution of comprehensive account strategies and detailed account plans. This requires a deep understanding of The Home Depot's business, market dynamics, and customer needs, enabling you to tailor product selections and promotional activities for maximum impact.
- • You will lead the charge in managing product launches, ensuring they are strategically introduced to The Home Depot and that their ongoing program performance is meticulously tracked and optimized.
- • Collaborating closely with The Home Depot, you will plan and conduct annual reviews, working together to establish and refine optimized product mixes that align with market trends and consumer demand.
- • This role demands strong leadership in business planning efforts, ensuring that all initiatives are fully aligned with The Home Depot's overarching goals and strategic objectives, creating a true partnership.
- • Active participation in customer meetings and training sessions is crucial. You will represent Husqvarna, present insights, and contribute to discussions that shape the future of our partnership.
- • Leveraging field insights gained through regular store visits is essential. These visits will provide invaluable real-time data and observations to inform and refine our customer strategies, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.
- • Accuracy in sales forecasting is paramount. You will work collaboratively with both internal forecasting teams and The Home Depot's teams to ensure reliable projections, which are critical for inventory management and production planning.
- • You will proactively address and resolve challenges related to excess and discontinued products, implementing strategies to maintain optimal inventory efficiency for both Husqvarna and The Home Depot.
- • Close coordination with internal support departments, including Sales, Marketing, and Logistics, is vital to ensure that all customer expectations are not only met but exceeded.
- • Continuous market research will be a key activity, keeping you and the team informed on the latest industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities within the home improvement and retail sectors.
- • You will be responsible for submitting timely and insightful reports and analyses to Senior Management, providing a clear overview of account performance, strategic initiatives, and future outlook.
- • Effective management of assigned budgets will be a critical component of your role, ensuring financial stewardship and maximizing return on investment.
- • Success in this role requires a self-motivated, collaborative, and professional individual who can operate effectively with limited direct supervision. You must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- • Expertise in key retail operational areas such as Point of Sale (POS) data analysis, Inventory Planning & Replenishment (IPR) processes, SKU rationalization, and promotional planning is highly desirable.
- • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is expected, alongside strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and opportunities.
- • The ability to facilitate productive meetings and lead cross-functional teams, both internally and with the customer, will be essential for driving initiatives forward.
