đź“‹ Description
- • As a Network Access Control (NAC) Specialist, you will be at the forefront of securing enterprise networks, playing a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing robust NAC solutions. This position is crucial for ensuring that only authenticated, compliant, and authorized devices and users gain access to our client's corporate networks, significantly strengthening their overall security posture.
- • Your primary responsibility will involve the end-to-end lifecycle management of NAC platforms. This includes the initial design and architecture, through to deployment, configuration, ongoing management, and continuous optimization of these critical security systems.
- • You will be instrumental in establishing and enforcing granular access controls, ensuring that every device and user attempting to connect to the network undergoes rigorous authentication and posture assessment.
- • A key aspect of the role is the implementation of sophisticated device authentication mechanisms. This encompasses ensuring that both wired and wireless endpoints, as well as remote VPN connections, adhere to strict security protocols before being granted network access.
- • You will develop and maintain comprehensive, role-based access policies. These policies will dictate precisely what resources users, endpoints, and even specialized IoT devices can access, based on their identity, role, and device compliance status.
- • A significant part of your day-to-day will involve monitoring the health and performance of the NAC infrastructure. This includes actively analyzing system logs, identifying potential security anomalies, and promptly investigating any network access violations or security incidents.
- • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with network engineers, infrastructure teams, and the broader cybersecurity operations center (SOC) to ensure seamless integration and consistent enforcement of enterprise security standards and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- • You will be the go-to expert for troubleshooting NAC-related issues. This involves conducting in-depth root cause analysis for connectivity problems, authentication failures, and policy enforcement discrepancies, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- • This role directly supports advanced security initiatives such as network segmentation and the implementation of zero-trust security architectures. Your expertise in NAC will be vital in segmenting the network and enforcing micro-segmentation policies to limit the blast radius of potential breaches.
- • You will partner with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of the NAC solution with a wide array of network devices, including switches, routers, wireless controllers, firewalls, and critical endpoint security tools, creating a cohesive security ecosystem.
- • Participation in vulnerability management programs, security assessments, and periodic audits related to network access controls will be a regular duty, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to best practices.
- • Maintaining detailed documentation of the NAC architecture, operational processes, and troubleshooting procedures is essential for knowledge transfer, team enablement, and robust governance.
- • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of NAC strategies, staying abreast of emerging threats, new technologies, and evolving best practices in network access security.
- • This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge NAC technologies and contribute to the security resilience of diverse enterprise environments, making a tangible impact on risk reduction and operational integrity.
