- • Lead and supervise a team of network and security engineers supporting the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) migration program, a mission-critical effort to modernize the US Army’s global wide area network and security infrastructure.
- • Organize and direct engineering staff to design secure network architectures, perform legacy environment discovery, assess configurations, and support firewall migration and zero trust network access (ZTNA) solutions.
- • Analyze complex firewall security zones, SD-WAN and MPLS connectivity, and integrate capacity planning into operational support processes while ensuring compliance with DoD standards through collaboration with information assurance teams and the AGUN cybersecurity service provider.
- • Document technical designs using wiki and diagramming tools, interface with customers and stakeholders, and be willing to work non-standard shifts and travel up to 10% of the time to meet mission objectives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active DoD SECRET security clearance (US Citizenship required)
- • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience (equivalent experience may substitute for degree)
- • Active DoD IAT Level II (Security+) certification or equivalent prior to start
- • Experience leading network and/or network security engineering teams
- • Demonstrated experience with networking concepts (LAN, WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Routing L2/L3, firewalls) in virtualized environments
- • Experience with enterprise network management tools (Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, Junos Space)
- • Expert understanding of virtualized firewalls (VSYS) in multi-tenant environments and system hardening via DoD STIG implementation
- • Experience with two or more vendor technologies: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Dell, RAVPN, Global Protect, or AppGate
- • Experience with protocols: SFTP, SSH, SCP, MPLS, SNMP, NTP
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Willingness to work non-standard shifts and travel up to 10% of the time
