  • • Netrix Global is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic team, playing a pivotal role in managing and safeguarding the IT infrastructure for both Netrix and our valued clientele. This position operates within our Managed Services division, reporting directly to the TOC NOC Manager, and serves as a critical escalation point for the TOC NOC, Service Desk, and Systems Team. You will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our on-premise, hosted, and cloud environments, contributing significantly to the reliability and performance of our network and foundational systems.
  • • As a Network Engineer, your primary responsibility will be the proactive management, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our network infrastructure. This includes a wide array of devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and controllers. You will be tasked with diagnosing and resolving complex network, hardware, and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to services. When necessary, you will coordinate the replacement or remediation of faulty network hardware components, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our systems.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves direct interaction with users and internal teams to swiftly resolve connectivity and infrastructure-related challenges. Your ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely will be paramount in these interactions. You will leverage centralized management and monitoring tools to keep a vigilant eye on network and systems performance, identifying potential issues before they impact operations. Furthermore, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing network access and usage, adhering to security best practices and organizational policies.
  • • Collaboration is at the heart of our success at Netrix Global. You will work closely with fellow team members to deliver an exceptional level of customer service and consistently meet departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This collaborative spirit extends to documenting configurations, procedures, and best practices, ensuring that our technical documentation remains accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible. This meticulous documentation is crucial for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • • This role requires a commitment to continuous learning and development. You will be expected to actively pursue the enhancement of your technical skill sets, enabling you to better serve the Netrix Global organization and its diverse client base. This includes staying abreast of the latest networking technologies and trends.
  • • Beyond day-to-day operations, you will participate in client onboarding processes, contribute to delivery initiatives, and engage in internal continuous improvement efforts. Following established Change and Problem Management processes for both Netrix and its customers is a non-negotiable aspect of this role, ensuring a structured and controlled approach to all IT operations.
  • • A significant responsibility includes participating in on-call rotations, which will encompass weekends and after-hours support. This ensures that our clients receive timely assistance regardless of the time of day. Your ability to adapt to varying shifts, such as the Wednesday - Saturday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET schedule, which may be rotated or changed based on support coverage requirements, is essential.
  • • While not solely a network engineering role, you will serve as a vital network subject matter expert within the TOC. Your guidance will be invaluable during troubleshooting sessions, assisting in validating root causes, and supporting escalation and resolution efforts. You will also be responsible for responding to systems-related alerts, demonstrating a foundational understanding of systems support alongside your networking expertise.
  • • The ideal candidate possesses 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support and management, with a strong command of core network technologies. You should be adept at implementing, administering, and troubleshooting both wired and wireless network environments. Your understanding of hardware, firmware, and network infrastructure protocols will be critical to your success. 🎯 Requirements

  • • Associate's degree in information technology or a related discipline with an emphasis on networking, or comparable professional experience.
  • • Vendor-recognized firewall, routing, and switching certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, or equivalent).
  • • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support and management of core network technology stack like firewalls, switches, routers, access points.
  • • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWall, Check Point, Ubiquiti, HP, Dell, Aruba, Arista, VMware, VeloCloud, Silver Peak, Meraki.
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
