📋 Description

• As a Network Operations Engineer on Polygon Labs’ Site Reliability Engineering team, you will serve as the first line of defense for blockchain infrastructure reliability, ensuring rapid detection, triage, and resolution of incidents across a global, high-scale onchain money movement platform that processes trillions in value daily.
• You will monitor and maintain the health of Polygon Labs’ infrastructure—including blockchain networks, bridges, RPC services, staking systems, and user-facing products—while validating alerts, escalating issues with structured context, coordinating incident response, documenting outcomes in real time, and building observability through improved dashboards, alerting, and runbooks that scale with ecosystem demands.
• You will join a globally distributed, remote-first SRE team operating in a follow-the-sun model, where your structured, methodical approach to troubleshooting will directly contribute to the resilience of critical financial infrastructure used by major banks, fintechs, enterprises, and consumer applications worldwide.
• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in blockchain observability, incident management, and infrastructure reliability—gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge decentralized systems while sharpening your skills in monitoring, scripting, communication, and systems thinking within a fast-evolving Web3 environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Foundational experience working with Linux systems, including navigating filesystems, reading logs, and understanding system processes
• Understanding of core networking concepts (DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP) and the ability to troubleshoot service connectivity issues
• Basic scripting ability (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate tasks or analyze system data
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document incidents and procedures under pressure
• Willingness to work in a shift-based, follow-the-sun environment, with a structured and methodical approach to troubleshooting
