📋 Description

  • Join Arista Networks, a leader in cloud networking, as a pivotal member of our Sales Engineering team, contributing to the future of networking for Service Provider organizations. This is an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with industry experts and technical leaders, reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager and working alongside some of the most skilled field engineers in the business.
  • As a Network Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales) within our Service Provider organization, you will be instrumental in driving our growth by providing expert pre-sales technical systems engineering support to our key Service Provider and Multimedia customers. Your role is central to our sales strategy, acting as a trusted advisor who deeply understands customer needs and identifies opportunities for Arista's innovative solutions.
  • You will partner closely with Account Managers to thoroughly understand the unique pain points and challenges faced by Service Providers. This involves conducting in-depth whiteboarding sessions to review and architect network solutions, and delivering compelling product presentations that showcase Arista's cutting-edge technologies.
  • Your presentations will cover a broad spectrum of Arista's portfolio, including our Open Networking Data Center solutions, Service Provider Edge technologies, 5G Edge capabilities, Cloud Grade Routing, and our transformative CloudVision platform for network automation. You will be expected to articulate the value proposition and technical advantages of these solutions in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • A core responsibility will be to architect, design, and propose high-performance Data Center and Service Provider solutions. This includes leveraging advanced networking concepts such as Leaf-Spine architectures with VxLAN, EVPN, and BGP, as well as Open IP MPLS, to effectively address customer requirements and capture new sales opportunities.
  • You will play a hands-on role in validating the effectiveness of our solutions through customer proof-of-concept (POC) setups. This involves performing tests to ensure the successful deployment and operation of Data Center and Campus network designs, as well as validating new products and features in real-world scenarios.
  • A key aspect of your role will be to develop and provide design guidelines to customers, offering expert recommendations for improvements to the networks they currently support. This consultative approach ensures that customers derive maximum value from Arista's technology and best practices.
  • You will collaborate extensively with the Sales Team to craft compelling responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs), ensuring that Arista's technical strengths and solutions are accurately and effectively represented.
  • Your insights will be invaluable to our Product Management and Engineering teams. You will provide crucial feedback based on your customer interactions and market observations, influencing the future development of Arista's products and offerings.
  • Representing Arista at industry events is a significant part of this role. You will have the opportunity to present at SDN and Open Networking industry events and conferences, positioning Arista as a thought leader and innovator.
  • Staying ahead of the curve is essential. You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of competitive solutions, products, and services, enabling you to effectively differentiate Arista's offerings.
  • Furthermore, you will contribute to Arista's knowledge base by authoring white papers on relevant technologies and products, sharing your expertise with the broader industry and solidifying Arista's technical authority.
  • This role offers a unique blend of technical depth, customer engagement, and strategic influence, making it an ideal position for a motivated and self-driven individual looking to make a significant impact in the dynamic world of cloud networking.

🎯 Requirements

  • Proven experience in a pre-sales or customer-facing technical role, specifically within the Service Provider or large Enterprise networking space.
  • Deep understanding of Data Center and Service Provider network architectures, including routing protocols (BGP, MPLS), switching technologies (VxLAN, EVPN), and network automation concepts.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex network environments.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Generous paid time off and holidays.
